Filter Coffee - How to make Filter Coffee

Filter Coffee is a very refreshing drink. For most of the people their days starts with this refreshing drink. In our home also our day wont starts without the coffee. Here I gave you steps and some tips to brew a coffee with pictures.

Coffee taste and flavor mainly depends on the coffee powder and quality of milk we using. I prefer to use freshly grounded coffee powder which gives you nice aroma and taste. Coffee taste great when we using fresh and full fat milk. I prefer to make coffee only when I am boiling the milk first time. Also dont reheat the decoction of coffee collected. Just prepare the decoction at the time of preparing coffee and add the freshly boiled milk to it.

Degree coffee is nothing but the coffee prepared with the first strong decoction. We can make the second decoction also but the decoction will be light than the first decoction. Adding more water will make the decoction lighter.

Here I am not going to give you the amount of coffee powder, milk, water according to your preference and the amount of coffee you need to serve. I usually add 3 tbsp for preparing two cups of coffee.

Method:

  • Add 1/2 tbsp of sugar into the upper part of the filter (this will help to get a thick decoction).
  • Add 2 to 3 tbsp of coffee powder to the upper part of the filter.
  • Place the plate inside and slightly press it using the handle. Pressing it will make the decoction to collect slowly so that the decoction will be thick.
  • Add the boiling water to the upper part.
  • Close the lid until the decoction collected at the bottom.
  • Boil the milk and add sugar, decoction according to the strongness you required.
Reheating the decoction, coffee or milk make the coffee to loose its flavor and taste. So make the decoction only at the time making coffee.

Note:

  • Decoction can also be stored in the fridge.
  • Clean the filter well because the coffee powder may block the hole in the filter.
