Musk Melon (Cantaloupe) Juice Recipe / Kirini Palam Juice Recipe

Musk Melon juice which is also called as Kirini palam saru, Cantaloupe juice is very healthy and body cooling recipe for summer. I love the color of this as compared to other fruits. I usually make the juice often with various combinations. Here I gave a step wise procedure for making this juice and also some tips for buying good musk melon.


Usually Muskmelon tends to be raw for quite some time after buying it. I came to know some tips to buy through my friend. Inspect the stem end, if the stem is still attached don't buy as it shows that it is still unripe. Smell the stem end to get the  flavor of muskmelon to know that it is ripe. If you press the stem end it should be slightly soft. I usually check these three points before buying a musk melon.


Ingredients for Musk Melon Juice:


Musk Melon  - 1
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp (optional)
Ice Cubes to serve (optional)


Method: 

  • Cut the fruit into half and discard the seeds.
  • Scope out the fruit and add it in the blender, add sugar and blend to smooth paste.
  • Add lemon juice and mix well. 
  • If the juice is thick add some water according to your preference.
  • Serve juice by adding some ice cubes.

Notes:

  • Serve as soon as after making juice. Fresh juice taste great.
  • If the musk melon is not fully ripe you cant scoop out properly in that case you can cut the fruit lengthwise and grate it using grater. The juice will ooze out while grating  you can use that while blending as shown in the picture
  • Adjust sugar according to your preference.
