Coriander Chutney Recipe | Kothamalli Chutney Recipe | Side dish for idli and dosa

Coriander chutney ( kothamalli chutney) is a delicious healthy recipe goes very well with idli and dosa. Here I am giving you this recipe with step by step procedure along with pictures. 

Coriander chutney is a healthy recipe. Coriander helps to cure digestion problem and prevents from infections caused by bacteria and fungus. When we adding in food it helps from food poisoning.

Ingredients for Coriander Chutney:

(Serves 2 to 3)

Coriander leaves –  1 bunch
Onions – 1 finely chopped
Coresly grinded corriender seed – 1 tsp (optional)
Split urad dal – 1 tsp
Channa dal / Kadala paruppu – 1 tsp
Red Chilli – 1 finely chopped
Coconut grated – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste


Method: 

  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add channa dal and urad dal, allow it to slightly brown and add chilli.
  • Add chopped onions and saute for a minute.
  • Add coresly grounded coriander seeds and mix well - (optional)
  • Add cleaned coriander leaves and allow it to cook.
  • After it is cooked switch off the flame and add grated coconut and mix well.
  • Add required salt and grind to a paste or cores texture according to your preference.
Serve with idli or dosa.

Note:

  • You can also add tomatoes. If you adding, add after onions and follow the step as discussed.
